2008

Runaway Reaction was created for the Gwanju Biennale of 2008. The performance took inspiriration from the Gwanju uprising which moved South Korea from a militarized state to a democracy. The protrusions from the performers bodies illustrate exit wounds from critical parts of the body that were pierced by the military to cause great bodily harm to students during the uprising.
